IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLING, DOWNLOADING, OR USING THIS SOFTWARE.
This software and associated documentation files (the "Software") are the proprietary property of Still Systems, LLC. Use, distribution, or reproduction of this software is strictly governed by this End-User License Agreement (EULA) and Terms of Service. Unauthorized copying, modification, reverse engineering, redistribution, or publishing of this software, via any medium, is strictly prohibited. Third-party language grammars and libraries are utilized under their respective open-source licenses as set forth in THIRD_PARTY_LICENSES.md.
1. GRANT OF LICENSE
Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, Still Systems, LLC ("Licensor") grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the TreeResolve extension for Visual Studio Code and the TreeResolve command-line interface ("Software") strictly in accordance with your designated Subscription Tier:
- a. Community Tier: Free, perpetual license to use the 3-way visual merge canvas and TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python import auto-merge.
- b. Evaluation / Trial Tier: A 14-day fully featured evaluation license starting from the initial installation date, requiring no financial commitment. Upon expiration of the 14-day evaluation period, this license automatically converts to the perpetual Community Tier unless a Commercial / Pro or Enterprise subscription is active.
- c. Commercial / Pro Tier: A paid per-person subscription for one person, any repository, on up to 3 machines, granting full access to automated AST semantic resolution, advanced intra-line token alignment, lockfile resolvers, and batch, CLI, and CI automation.
- d. Enterprise Tier: A paid seat-based subscription. Each seat includes the Pro Tier capabilities for the fleet named at checkout. Seat count is the quantity on the Paddle order or Paddle invoice for that purchase.
2. RESTRICTIONS
Except as explicitly authorized in this Agreement, you agree NOT to:
- a. Decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or attempt to derive the source code of the Software or its proprietary algorithms.
- b. Modify, patch, circumvent, or disable any licensing, token-verification, or cryptographic features (including offline Ed25519 validation routines).
- c. Sublicense, rent, lease, distribute, republish, or create derivative works based on the Software, in whole or in part.
- d. Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices, labels, or trademarks of Still Systems, LLC.
3. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
The Software, including its architecture, layout, code, deterministic syntax auto-merging engines, documentation, and graphical assets, is and remains the sole proprietary intellectual property of Still Systems, LLC. Language grammars and third-party libraries packaged within the Software are the property of their respective maintainers and are bundled under applicable upstream licenses as enumerated in THIRD_PARTY_LICENSES.md.
4. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL STILL SYSTEMS, LLC BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF, OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.
5. SUBSCRIPTIONS, RENEWAL & CANCELLATION
Commercial / Pro and Enterprise subscriptions are billed through Still Systems’ Merchant of Record (currently Paddle). Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Auto-renewal and invoices are governed by the checkout terms presented at purchase and by the Paddle customer portal. The detailed refund and cancellation policy is set out in REFUND.md (including a 30-day money-back guarantee and cancel-anytime via the Paddle portal). Upon cancellation, failed payment, or an approved refund, paid entitlements may be revoked; the Software then continues under the Community Tier.
6. PRIVACY
Processing of licensing fingerprints, optional telemetry, and billing-related personal data is described in PRIVACY.md. By using the Software you acknowledge that policy.
7. SUPPORT
Support channels and response expectations are described in SUPPORT.md.
8. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located within the State of Texas.
